This Linksys WiFi Ethernet Bridge connects anything that has Ethernet RJ45 to WiFi, for example, Xbox, IPTV. For our developers, the most important is our Linux Box.  Most of the WiFi adaptor needs to install a lot of complicated WiFi driver to make it work. If you don't have the time to configure all these, this WiFi Ethernet Bridge is the good news! We love it, and use it to connect our own linux box.

First, we need to find a computer that runs Windows and has Ethernet RJ45 connection. Then configure the IP address of this computer to 192.168.1.5. Note if you have WiFi adapter on this computer, turn it off. After you set the IP address of the local connection and disable WiFi adapter on this computer, RESTART the computer.

 Second, try to access 192.168.1.225 which is the configuration web server residing on the Linksys WiFI Ethernet Bridge. The username is blank, and the password is "admin".

 Third, you can set the SSD and key according to your WIFI Access point. Set the LAN to DHCP, and click the "Apply". The brige will reboot.

Fourth, restore your local Ethenet TCP/IP to DHCP.

Finally, we are all set, and can relocate this configured WiFi Ethernet bridge to your linux box!
